Hello, it's been a while hasn't it. Well I've been busy moving from one state to another( back to Michigan), then looking for work, finding it and working. Also been trying my hardest to lose weight and hit the gym, which makes for a very sore mommy, but I'll save that for another blog post.
This post is about my daughter falling in love with a sport I know nothing about. If you know me, you know I Figure skated for most of my life and coached for a number of years. It's a sport I love and know alot about. Well my daughter decides to fall in love with Gymnastics. Although I am completely confused about how everything is done, including the elements, I am happy she found the one thing she loves as much as I do about Skating. ( yes my daughter has skated and I gave her some lessons, she just doesn't love it like I do, which is fine) She was doing "recreational" gymnastics, which I believe is like Learn to skate. Then she recently tried out for competitive teams. She made a team and here's where it all gets confusing. Since I am used to a singles sport, the whole team thing is new to me. She needs to have matching uniform, leo, warmups, bags, and other items. The believe the girls on her team will become more then just girls on her team, them may become good friends. I don't know anything about scoring or meets. I am going to be one of those confused go with the flow moms, till I learn it all. So wish me luck.
Currently, according to her tests sheets, She is at lv 2 in all of her forms, except beam, she is lv 3. Which is awesome. I hope by this next test she will be lv 3 on all of her forms.
